¨Life is short, the world is wide. I want to make some memories.¨ -Lily James as young Donna

Hi, my name is India. I am a sophomore and a first-year Clarion student. I do not really know what to say, but I can say that I have always loved to read and write. I have note-books filled with stories about so many things that were truly not the best, but they came from the heart. For some reason, I have always gone the extra mile and never been able to write a concise story. They have all been at least four pages long when they could have been summed up in five sentences. But, I guess that’s because I have to be extra in everything I do, literally. If you count the number of commas in this paragraph alone, you would understand completely.

Anyways, I’m a pretty serious person to say the least. I do know how to have fun, but only if it is not going to get me or any of my friends in trouble. This makes me the perfect mother friend material; need a band-aid? I probably have one. I am the unofficial mother to almost all of my friends, which isn’t an exaggeration. I am not complaining though. It makes me happy that people can, and are willing to, come to me for some of their problems. The ability to be the person who can be there for someone really makes me feel accomplished and fulfilled. My need to be fulfilled in life is one of my greatest goals. I hope that my future career will be able to provide that feeling for me; I want to be a genetic counselor.

Now listen, just like everyone else I have gone through a bountiful amount of other job possibilities. Thanks to Mr. Lathery, though, and him teaching us about genetics, I've decided what I want to do. The genetic material is just so interesting; you can literally predict how a child is going to be born. It’s going to be nice to be able to help provide families with the knowledge of what their child may or may not have. For now though, I need to worry about how I am going to accomplish this goal and what I’m going to need to do to make it in this field. Here’s to the present and trying my best to be me!
