“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”-Maya Angelou

Hello! I am a sophomore and this is my first year on the staff! I joined Clarion because I had to choose an extra elective and did not have many options. Honestly, this class was the last option that I wanted. On the first day of school I told myself I would not like this class, but once I stepped in the classroom I knew that I would really love it. All of my other classmates and the teacher are great to get along with! I have always loved writing, but I never expressed it at all. When we start creating articles, I will let my writing talent take charge. Some of my hobbies include hunting, babysitting, taking part in my church, and 4-H. I was in French Club and band my freshman year. I played clarinet from 6th-9th grade. 4-H is my main hobby outside of school because I do not play a lot of sports or do extracurriculars. I focus on my shooting sports projects and getting them Grand Champion at the Fayette Country Fair to go on to the Indiana State Fair. I go to Connersville Baptist Temple. I am a Christian who helps work in the kids ministry and in my youth group at my church. After high school, I plan to attend Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministries. Working in the church ministry lets me help people and the church, which I adore. I love writing about current events and politics. Also, I have written a chapter book or two, but they are not published. Clarion has really taught me to be on the creative side and express it. I am so grateful to have had this opportunity! Without the editors I would not have written great articles. Sometimes I got frustrated at the article I was writing and all of the corrections I needed to make to it. Little did I know that those corrections would have me writing amazing articles and not making the same mistakes again.
