I’m going to be honest here, I didn’t plan for this to happen. I was trying to get out of a speech class and just happened to be placed in Clarion. Three years later and I’m helping run the whole thing. Like seriously, who put me in charge? No one ever actually gave me the title, but I was happy to take it. I’m nowhere near as involved with school as I should be. I am in five or six clubs, a part of National Honors Society and have danced at Sandee’s Dance Explosion for 15 years.

The experience has been full of ups and downs that I am glad to have had. At some points, this class has made the ibuprofen bottle my best friend, but that is beside the point.  The class has fueled my undying passion for writing, and I have grown as a person as a result. The fact that I am helping to make a change in our school with the words I write gives me the fulfillment I love so much.

I plan to combine my love of helping people and writing in my future career as a genetic counselor and obtain a degree at IU East. GO RED WOLVES! There are not a lot of facts about me if were being honest. I work at the McDonald’s in town, so I’ll answer the question now, yes, our ice cream machine is broken, no I don’t know why. I have more cats than I would like to admit and I absolutely suck at math.  I have a love for photography and for some reason have an obsession with early 2000's pop music. I have gotten my fair share of grief for my articles, but I believe it is very important to have healthy debates with your companions. While Abbi may be the queen of editorials here, I too have my fair share of beliefs.

In all seriousness, I couldn’t be more thankful for my co-editor. I couldn’t have made this website without my Abbi. It all started with our co-written story “From Hollywood To Home” (which you should really read) and now she’s one of my best friends. I truly appreciate everything she has done for this paper. She’s definitely going places with her sick dance moves ;).  I can’t wait to pass on my editorial duties to the newest editors and I wish you luck from the class of 2020.
