BACK FOR ROUND TWO

After a Year of Retirement, Duncan is Back

BACK FOR ROUND TWO

Mrs. Kim Duncan who has only been away for one year, returned this school year to help fill the gaps left by those who left at the end of the 2017-18 school year. She has taken up Ms. Adams position in her absence and is teaching Quantitative Reasoning and Algebra Two, both are classes she has not taught before. Duncan’s teaching career has carried her two years at Knox High School, one year at New Castle High School, eighteen years at CMS, and nine years at CHS.

Duncan has a Masters in Education from Ball State University, and has worked as a coach at Connersville Gymnastic Center, taught at Ivy Tech-Richmond, as well as additional schooling recently online through the University of Phoenix. Now that she has returned to CHS, Duncan has had to adapt to the changes made, however this has not phased her in the slightest.

Duncan is excited to return, and is more than ready for the challenge of teaching different classes. Setting a personal goal for the year, she has committed to “always keep learning new things and to help others in any way I can.” For those taking, or planning to take her classes, Duncan stated, to be successful in her classes, you need to, “Stay focused, and be prepared to work for your grade.”
