After pop singer Demi Lovato’s nearly four year long break, she released another album. This new album covers many things including her struggle with addiction.

Lovato released Dancing with the Devil on April 2, 2021, and ecstatic Lovatics took to streaming platforms to show their excitement. In order to get the word out about this new album, Lovato released a free four-part docuseries also titled Dancing with the Devil. This docuseries premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival and began to release onto episodes Youtube March 23. In these she details her very personal struggles about her near-fatal overdose in 2018 and how this still impacts her to this day. She released her final episode of the series on April 6, 2021 and in this episode, other very popular artists such as Elton John, Christina Aguilera, and Will Ferrel were shown being involved with her recovery process.

This album has topped Billboard Top 100 since the release. Lovato stated in her docuseries that she did not care about how the media portrayed this album, seeing as she made this collection of songs specifically for her enjoyment. Lovato and her fans are pleased with the results of this album and can’t wait to see what comes next.
