On Monday May 6, Meghan Markle Duchess of Sussex who is married to the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry. Gave birth to their first child, his name is Archie Harrison Mounbatten-Windsor and he weighed seven pounds and three ounces. Prince Harry’s child is the seventh line to the throne. Due to century-old rule royal titles, Archie’s title will be styled as Earl of Dumbarton. But he may not have a title due to the family wanting to uphold the family’s privacy. The announcement to the world did not happen until Wednesday May 8. The announcement included a photo of Queen ElizabethII meeting her new grandson.

“He has really been a dream, and has the sweetest temperament, he is really calm” Meghan Markle said. “The new born slept right through his first media encounter” Markle stated. “It is magic, it is pretty amazing, and I have the two best guys in the world, so I am really happy,” Markle stated during her son’s first brief encounter with a television camera. Harry and Meghan thanked the public for their well-wishes before they left the camera position, Harry cradled their son in his arms and Meghan resting her arms around his shoulders. Meghan did plan on having a home birth but it has not been confirmed by the palace, that the royal couple welcomed their first child into the world at a London hospital.

“I am so incredibly proud of my wife, and as every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I am just over the moon,” Harry stated. Congratulations to Meghan and Harry, best wishes to them and their new born.
